Cong confident of better performance in LS polls

Congress today exuded confidence of better performance in the ensuing Lok Sabha polls in Rajasthan and said BJP's "Mission-25" will have no effect in the elections due to "internal differences and failure of its government in the state to deliver results.
"Congress has announced names of 23 candidates out of 25 which is a combination of young faces and experienced leaders. BJP's Mission-25 (target to win all the 25 parliamentary seats) would have no impact in the state because they are facing internal differences at the national level which has delayed announcements of their candidates," PCC president and Union Minister Sachin Pilot told PTI over phone.

He said that discord was palpable about constituencies among top leaders of BJP.
"This is the state of affairs at national level in that party which seems to have delayed the announcements of candidates for Rajasthan," he said.
The PCC Chief said that 60-day action plan in Rajasthan of BJP government has delivered "no results" and people have failed to see promises, made in the manifesto of 2013-assembly elections, being fulfilled by the government.
Pilot, who would be contesting again from Ajmer Lok Sabha constituency in the upcoming elections, also rejected poll surveys and said performance of Congress in the upcoming polls would be fine.

"We have young candidates like Jitendra Singh, Jyoti Mirdha and also experienced leaders like C P Joshi who are contesting elections," he said.
Polling for Lok Sabha elections in 25 constituencies in Rajasthan will take place on two days- April 17 and 24.
Congress in Rajasthan suffered unprecedented defeat by winning only 21 seats out of total 200 in 2013-assembly elections and after the debacle, Pilot, the Union Minister of State for Corporate Affairs, was made the PCC Chief.
