Puducherry PCC chief A. Namassivayam said in a release here that Chief Minister N Rangasamy had been making claims that "fiscal position of the government is comfortable" and pointing out that only the opposition was making unfounded criticisms against the government on financial condition of the administration.
If the financial condition was good where was the need for the government to delay disbursement of wages to government workers (engaged by various departments on contract basis) for months together, Namassivayam asked.
Namassivayam demanded a 'white paper' to clear the cloud and confirm the actual fiscal position of the administration.
