DMK chief M Karunanidhi's private secretary Shanmuganathan today claimed he received a phone call from CBI to appear before it in connection with the audio tapes the agency is probing that purportedly has conversations linked to money trail of the 2G spectrum scam.
"I asked them (CBI) to send me formal summons to appear before them," Shanmuganathan told PTI.

CBI had asked Shanmuganathan to appear for a voice test to determine if a voice found in the tape was that of Shanmuganathan's.
