"Congress will win the polls and form the government again," Hooda said after filing nomination from his traditional Gahi Sampla-Kiloi seat in Rohtak district.
On assertion that Congress has a tough battle this time, especially a challenge from BJP, 67-year-old Hooda said, "We will win the Assembly polls comfortably."
In his affidavit filed before the Returning Officer, Hooda declared movable assets worth Rs 1.51 crore and immovable assets worth Rs 4.05 crore.
He also showed loan amounting to Rs 15.20 lakh.
Hooda has shown the worth of his wife Asha's movable assets as Rs 1.94 crore and immovable assets as worth Rs 1.32 crore.
Hooda had been elected from Garhi Sampla Kiloi seat thrice before. He has been the Chief Minister since March 2005. He assumed office for a second term after the October 2009 Assembly polls.
Elections to 90 assembly seats in Haryana are to be held on October 15.
