"To a question of opposition member Kailash Chandra Kulesia on December 2, Agriculture Minister Maharathy gave a reply which was not complete. The Hon'ble Minister did not mention results of the investigation done in the farmers suicide cases," the notice signed by Kulesika, Nabakishore Das and others said.
Leader of Opposition Narasingha Mishra of Congress also raised the matter while participating in the debate on the Appropriation Bill.
"Last evening a report was telecast in a private television channel that showed how the government has hidden facts from the public on farmer suicide. A portion of the copy that is sent to the SRC (Special Relief Commissioner) was blanked out. We moved a privilege notice today on this context," said Das said outside the Assembly.
