Consecration of two temples held
The earlier consecration of the Kasi Visvanatharswamy temple, situated on the southern bank of the Mahamaham tank, was in 2001. Six yaga sala poojas were performed on the occassion. The temple has also been renovated
The nearby Sri Sundareswarar temple also saw special poojas being performed on the occassion.
