"Despite teaching for several years, we don't know when we could lose our jobs," Mohammad Irshad, another teacher, said.

The tourism department's contractual employees also demanded that they be offered permanent posting.

"We are 250 persons working with Delhi Tourism department for 15 years, but we are not being made permanent by the department," Naveen, working with tourism department on contractual basis, said.

However, Kejriwal has sought ten days to put in place a system to address grievances and resolve problems.
