Traders said stockists buying due to pick up in demand from consuming industries and a firm trend in global markets mainly led to rise in copper and nickel prices.
Globally, copper for delivery in three month rose 0.2 per cent on the London Metal Exchange.
In the national capital, copper mixed scrap and nickel plate (4x4) were up by Rs 2 each to Rs 375 and Rs 844-849 per kg respectively.
