Copper prices declined by Rs 2 per kg at the non-ferrous metal market today largely on weak trend overseas.

Traders said sentiment in copper turned bearish on the back of weak global cues where the metal fell to a two-week low yesterday, pressured by Italy's deepening political crisis and a firmer dollar.

Globally, copper for delivery in three-month was trading down by 0.7 per cent at USD 6,810 per tonne after hitting an early low of USD 6,802 on the London Metal Exchange.

In the national capital, copper mixed scrap fell by Rs 2 to Rs 438 per kg.
