At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, cottonseed oil cake delivery for the most-traded January moved up by Rs 13 or 0.77 per cent to Rs 1,702 per quintal, clocking an open interest of 90,890 lots.
Similarly, the delivery of December moved higher by Rs 5 or 0.30 per cent to Rs 1,680 per quintal, showing an open interest of 1,640 lots.
Marketmen attributed the uptick in cottonseed oil cake prices at futures trade to building up of positions by participants amid a firm trend at the physical markets on better offtake by animal feed makers in the spot market.
