At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange counter, cottonseed oil cake for most-traded delivery in January contracts hardened by Rs 12.50 or 0.77 per cent to Rs 1,637 per quintal, with an open interest of 80,070 lots.
Cottonseed oilcake to be delivered this month also gained Rs 8.50 or 0.53 per cent to Rs 1,615 per quintal, having an open interest of 13,910 lots.
Marketmen said widening of positions by speculator backed by a firm trend at the physical markets mainly supported the upside in cottonseed oil cake futures prices .
