Couple end lives by jumping before train

A man from Kerala and a woman today allegedly committed suicide by jumping before a train near Podanur station on the city outskirts.
The couple died instantaneously as the Erode-Palakkad Passenger, approaching the Podanur railway station, ran over them, police said.
While the man had been identified as Satish, the identity of the woman was yet to be ascertained as her face was badly mutilated, they said adding she was suspected to be his wife.
A case been registered and investigations were on, police said.
