The magistrate's court in Kurla in suburban Mumbai observed that the police have made out sufficient ground against the accused to seek extension of police custody.
The police told the court that they need to gather more evidence against her for which her custodial interrogation was necessary.
"The police have visited the hotel where the accused got drunk at a party and have recorded some statements. However, police need to gather more evidence. Statement of eye witnesses and her colleagues who were with her at the party are yet to be recorded," public prosecutor Prahlad Mahajan told the court.
The deceased were identified as Mohammad Abdul Sayyad, (55), the driver, and Mohammad Salim Sabuwala (50).
