The Left party strongly opposed to the ban on beef, CPI general secretary S Sudhakar Reddy said during the concluding session of party's three-day national executive and national council meet here.
"They (Maharashtra and Haryana government) have no business to enter our kitchen...It (beef) is part of food for SC, ST and BC," he said.
CPI also demanded an independent probe by a sitting judge of Supreme Court into the recent controversies surrounding Union Minister Sushma Swaraj and Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje over their alleged links with former IPL commissioner Lalit Modi.
Reddy, who was accompanied by national secretary D Raja and other party leaders, demanded resignation from Swaraj and Raje or their dismissal from the post.
"Lalit Modi is a person who had commercialised Cricket by bringing IPL and T20...Auctioning of players are done like slaves in the streets...This is only to settle the ill-gotten money," he said.
Hinting that it will not be easy for BJP in upcoming Bihar polls, Reddy said Left parties will fight the elections and "We (Left) will make an effective intervention in Bihar...People are anti-Modi."
He said that CPI was concerned over the "campaign" launched by the BJP and Sangh Parivar against minorities in the country.
"Sangh Parivar is terrorising minorities in the country and Modi is silent over the issue," Reddy alleged.
"Modi is just consolidating Hindu communal forces. CPI felt that the first year of Modi government was disastrous for the nation as it brought more poverty. "Modi adopts anti-labour and pro-industrialist and capitalists policies," he said.
CPI would continue its fight against "dictatorial attitude" of Modi on Land Acquisition Act, he added.
