"It (CPI-M) is an irrelevant party and it has lost the status of a national party now. It has forgotten class struggle and does not raise the slogan of people's democratic revolution," he said, adding "it would become extinct under its general secretary Sitaram Yechury".
Roy, who was here to inaugurate TMC office here, said party chief Mamata Banerjee is the only leader who could "oust" CPI-M from power in West Bengal and the party would be able to oust the Left party under her leadership.
Banerjee, he said, is scheduled to visit Tripura on August 9.
"Mamata Banerjee will visit Tripura several times and all the important leaders of our party would continuously visit the state to intensify the movement for ousting the Marxist government. In all the sixty assembly seats in Tripura there would be only one candidate - Mamata Banerjee.
"Our party will wrest power from the Left Front here to develop the state and to provide good governance. There is no job opportunity for the youths, healthcare system has collapse and people were facing food crisis. There is no new industry in the state ... We will throw this government out of power and would see how much strength Chief Minister Manik Sarkar has in his arms," Roy said.
"We do not believe in dividing a state. We want the tribals to remain in the mainstream and ensure that their demands are met. In West Bengal the demand for Gorkahaland is not heard anymore because their basic problems are being addressed within the constitutional framework," he added.
All the six MLAs, including Sudip Royburman, who joined TMC recently after defecting from opposition Congress, were present at the programme.
