Daily wage earner arrested for sexually exploiting minor

: A 20-year-old daily wage earner has been arrested for sexually exploiting and cheating a minor girl with a false promise of marrying her at Attur Muluvad, police said.
They said the man had befriended the 15-year-old girl some time ago while on his way to work, developed a physical relationship with her and promised to marry her. However he went back on his promise and told the girl yesterday he was not interested in tying the nuptial knot.
Following this the girl informed her parents, who filed a complaint with an all women's police station and he was arrested, they said.

Cases have been booked against the man under Section 376 of the IPC & 4 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offence Act 2012.
The student has been sent for medical examination.
