The report, along with the videography of post-mortem on the body of Gokul Raj, was submitted by the Dean of Government Mohan Kumaramangalam Hospital in Salem in a sealed cover to the high court registrar, complying with a court directive.
Passing interim orders on a habeas corpus petition by a human rights activist who alleged that the man was murdered, a division bench comprising Justice S Tamilvanan and Justice C T Selvam had on June 26 directed the Dean to constitute a team of three Doctors to conduct the post-mortem.
According to the petitioner, the girl had allegedly told police that she and Gokul Raj were in a relationship. She had also told them that Gakul was kidnapped by henchmen of a caste-based organisation.
