A female dancer from Mumbai, who had alleged that she was raped in the city while she was here to perform for New Year's eve celebrations, is being examined, a senior police officer said today.
A Mumbai police team brought her to the city today as part of further investigations into the case.
"We are examining her," Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anurag Sharma told reporters, adding that more details would be known after her examination is complete.
The alleged sexual assault was committed on the intervening night of December 31, 2013 and January 1, 2014 here and the Mumbai police had booked a case after the victim complained.
She had complained that she was taken to an undisclosed location here by four people after she landed from Mumbai and allegedly raped by them.
