Delhi government today transferred two DANICS officers including Special Transport Commissioner who recently alleged "misbehaviour" by Minister Satyendar Jain earlier this week.
In an order issued by the Services Department, DANICS (Delhi Andaman and Nicobar Islands Civil Service) Officer - Delhi Jal Board (DJB) director C Arvind - has been elevated to the post of Secretary in the DJB.
Arvind has also been given additional charge of Secretary to Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia.
The government has also transferred Special Transport Commissioner Indushekhar Mishra, a 1993-batch DANICS officer, and posted him as Special Commissioner (Employment).
The officer had an argument with the Transport Minister at his office in Delhi Secretariat on Monday over the issue of the latter's plan to keep the RTOs open seven days a week.
The bureaucracy and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government have been at loggerheads over several issues.
On January 1, all DANICS officers had gone on a mass leave against Jain's order to suspend two DANICS officers working with the Delhi Home Department.
IAS officers association had also supported the move and had also gone on half-day mass leave.
