Darjeeling Municipality will sign a Memorandum of Agreement with Urban Infrastructure Development Scheme for Small and Medium Towns (UIDSSMT) and State Urban Development Agency (SUDA) to revamp the drinking water distribution in Darjeeling Town for Rs 169.2 crore, said Gorkha Territorial Administration (GTA) Chief Executive Bimal Gurung said in a facebook post today.
According to this project, the municipality would construct 30 water tanks to cover all 32 municipality wards of Darjeeling and would be completed in 30 months.
