Defense Secretary visits LoC in Rajouri and Poonch districts

Defense Secretary G Mohan Kumar today visited the forward areas along the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri and Poonch district of Jammu region and took stock of the security situation in the state.
Kumar, who visited the Northern Command Headquarters of the army on an official visit, was briefed by the senior army officers about the security situation in the state, a defense spokesman said.
"G Mohan Kumar, Defense Secretary visited Northern Command Headquarters and forward areas along the Line of Control on an official visit today," Defense spokesman Col SD Goswami said.
He said the Defense Secretary was briefed at the Northern Command Headquarters on the current security situation and the various aspects pertaining to Army's activities in the Command Theatre.

He visited the forward areas along the Line of Control in Rajouri and Poonch districts and reviewed the security arrangements there, Goswami said.
