In a major bureaucratic reshuffle, the Delhi government today transferred and posted 25 DANICS officers with immediate effect.
Most of the transfers and postings orders have been issued after Lt Governor Najeeb Jung's approval, an order issued by the services department said.
Eighteen DANICS officers awaiting their postings have been given new assignments.
The move comes days after the LG had been notified as 'Approving Authority' for transfers and postings following the High Court order on August 4 which had stamped the primacy of the Lt Governor in the city administration.
Among the Delhi, Andaman Nicobar Island Civil Service (DANICS) officers who have been transferred are Special Secretary (Urban Development) S S Kanawat, Special Secretary (Services) Amarnath R Talwade.
Kanawat has been made Controller (DSSSB ) and Talwade Special Secretary (UD).
Earlier this week, the LG had been notified as the 'Approving Authority' for transfers and postings of different category of employees, including IAS and DANICS officers working with the Delhi government.
The Lt Governor will be the authority for transfers and postings of IAS, DANICS officers, all-India service officers and equivalent officers of central civil services.
The order had also said the Chief Secretary will be the 'Approving Authority' for transfers and postings of DASS Grade I/II officials, private secretaries and senior personal assistants.
