Delhi govt to organise cultural programme at CP

With an aim to offer a platform for students of government schools and colleges to showcase their talent, Delhi government will soon organise a seven-day cultural programme in Central Delhi's Connaught Place.
Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia today said that the government was planning to have a cultural week at Connaught Place.
"Planning to have a cultural week at Connaught Place, organized and performed by the stdnts of govt. Schls & collgs," Sisodia wrote on Twitter.
"In the week-long cultural programme to be organised at Central Park, students of government schools and colleges will be provided a single platform to showcase their talent in full public view. These students will perform dance, plays, sing and exhibit other cultural activities as per their expertise.
"The government also has plans to invite famous dancers, filmakers, singers etc to attend the programme and see the talent of the students," said a senior official.
The official said that the cultural week can also offer a placement platform for students as several prominent persons will be invited.
"Besides, people will get to see talent of students of government schools and colleges at one platform. The date for the event is being finalised and it will be announced soon," he added.
