Philippines delegation visits LUVAS

A seven-member delegation from the Philippines visited Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (LUVAS) here today to see the research activities being undertaken in the field of animal health and production.
The delegation was headed by Annabelle Sarabia, Chief Operation Division, Philippines Carabao Centre.
The members met officials of the university and had detailed discussions on the possibilities of mutual collaboration in exchange of scientists, students and scientific knowledge to enhance cooperation among different organisations in both countries, a university spokesman said.
The delegation is presently on a visit to International Livestock Research Institute, New Delhi.
It visited animal farm of LUVAS to see some of the local breeds of cattle and took keen interest in cattle breed developed by the University, the spokesman said.
