According to State's Health Department officials, dengue has claimed one life in Ambala while another person from Panipat is suspected to have succumbed to it.
"As against yesterday's 570 positive cases, the number of confirmed cases rose to 630 today, with 208 cases of dengue so far being reported from Gurgaon alone," Haryana's Director General of Health Services, Dr D P Lochan told PTI.
As many as 3500 cases of malaria have been reported from the State so far, with Mewat district being the worst affected.
"Though the condition of dengue and malaria is under control in the state, yet with cooperation of people, their spread can be controlled," Dr Lochan said.
Stagnant water in coolers, flowerpots, broken utensils and unused tyres helps growth of mosquito larvae therefore these things should be kept away from home, he said.
People should clean and cover their water tanks, clean water drinking utensils every day, and immediately consult doctor in case of fever, he added.
