Civic authorities today launched prosecution against MTNL, CPWD and a leading business house after mosquito-breeding was found at their premises.
According to an official statement, an inspection was carried out today during which breeding of dengue mosquitoes were found in the basement of MTNL, premises of a leading business house near the Civic Centre, CPWD colony and a private contractor (mosquito-breeding found at construction site in drums and water containers), both on Rouse Avenue in north Delhi.
As per the statement, the civic officials also went to inspect the CAG building premises, but "were turned away by security guards."
"The security guard room was then checked and the cooler was found to contain mosquito-breeding," it said.
