'Depressed' man tries to kill self in Mumbai

A 32-year-old man, who was suffering from "depression", allegedly attempted suicide by shooting himself with his father's revolver at his residence in Dadar here, police said today.
"Vijay Geet Bahadur Singh, who did not have a job, was under depression since the last five years. Last night, he took his father's licenced revolver and shot himself in his chest", a senior police official said.
After hearing the gunshot, his parents rushed to the spot and found him in pool of blood. They admitted him to a private hospital. His condition is stated to be critical, said the official.
