ACB officials laid a trap at the office of Deputy Director of Industrial Safety and Health N N Rao here today after they recieved a complaint from one Jitesh Trivedi, who accused Rao of demanding a bribe of Rs 10,000 to speed up work related to the issuance of Building and Other Construction Workers (BOCW) registration certificate, an ACB official said.
It came to the fore that clerk Girish Shishangia called up Trivedi, who had applied for BOCW registration earlier, a few days back and demanded Rs 10,000 at the behest of Rao to speed up the process, the ACB official said.
Rajkot ACB police inspector J G Zala laid the trap and arrested both the accused on charges of demanding and accepting the bribe, the official said.
