Didi losing cool too often, says Babul Supriyo

Union Minister Babul Supriyo today asked West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to keep her cool and expressed surprise at the anti-demonetisation protests organised by her party -- the Trinamool Congress (TMC).
Supriyo, the junior minister for heavy industries and public enterprises, told reporters he had seen recently that Banerjee had been losing her cool often and said a political debate should be conducted in a quiet manner.
"I have seen Didi is getting more angry these days from her televised media conferences," the BJP MP said.
The singer-turned-politician said the chief minister should also be mindful of words used against people like the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

"Can such outbursts be traced to reasons of Didi's men stashing hordes of ill-gotten money and failing to convert these into new currencies after demonetisation," he said.
He said it is unfortunate that when people have forgotten the hardships following demonetisation and realised it was meant to unearth black money, politicial parties like the TMC are still crying hoarse over it.

Taking a dig at Banerjee for making her twitter handle dp black, as mark of protest against demonetisation, Supriyo said, "It is a simple thing. Those state leaders and ministers tainted with black spots for their acts are now blackening their DPs."

On Mamata Banerjee's statement that the BJP is "morally defeated" in Gujarat which is why it is pulling out all the stops and using central ministers and forces to win the upcoming elections there, Supriyo said, "TMC need not bother about Gujarat. TMC is a regional party."
"If a large number of MPs are elected from a single state to the Pariament, they do have certainly a big contingent and enjoy numerical strength. Same holds true for TMC in West Bengal," he said.
Supriyo said there is a strong undercurrent of support for the BJP in the state which "is manifested by the rise in BJP's vote share gradually."

On Banerjee's allegation of BJP using central agencies to frame TMC leaders, Supriyo said, "Sometimes she makes wild allegation of military coup and at other times using central agencies against her party leaders."
On Mukul Roy joining the BJP, Supriyo said, "We are taking people having real organisational skills. West Bengal is the next destination for BJP which is already in power in most states and in coalition in some others."
Asked about the Narada investigation against Roy, Supriyo said, "Laws of the land is equal for everyone.
