The 41-year-old 'White Flag' hitmaker underwent treatment to combat her nerves and was pleased it was successful as her anxiety was affecting her performances, reported Hello! magazine.
"I went to hypnotherapy for stage fright years ago and it completely worked. I always get nervous, but it was getting to the point where it would mess with my singing.
"My mum said that if you stop getting nervous you stop caring but there's nerves and there's complete meltdown," she said.
The 'Thank You' singer - who has 19-month-old son Stanley with husband Rohan Gavin - also admitted she enjoyed turning 40 - until she suffered a nasty fall from a treadmill that left her scarred.
"It was so sort of Laurel and Hardy I was crying and laughing at the same time. I'd walked across the treadmill by mistake forgetting it was on and just went flying. That was my welcome to my forties.
