The kid was among those who listened to the PM's address on the occasion of Teachers' Day at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay School, meant for differently-abled and orphan, at Vishni Digambar Marg, where the scenes were way different from other schools in the city.
The students had mixed views about the speech. While some found it interesting others were not so much enthused. Some were seen clapping sometimes during the speech.
The girls clapped vigorously when Modi pitched for girls' toilets in every school of the country. "The PM has promised to build separate toilets for girls in schools," said a differently-abled girl.
With the PM speaking in "shuddh Hindi", it became difficult for many students to comprehend what he was saying. Teachers were seen explaining to the students the speech.
Asked about the reactions of the students after the speech, a teacher at the school said, "The quotes were difficult to understand even for the teachers, leave aside the students. I believe the language could have been easier for the students to understand it."
As many as 22 out of 35 students attended school today despite heavy rains lashing the city.
