The camp site has been set up at Burari grounds by the state department of revenue and will be in place till May 25 for large number of pilgrims on way to Ajmer via Delhi.
Urs, an annual festival held at Ajmer, commemorates the death anniversary of the Sufi saint Moinuddin Chishti and is attended by large number of pilgrims belonging to different faiths and religions from across the country.
Inaugurating the transit camp, Dikshit said pilgrims from across the country and abroad visit Ajmer Sharif to attend holy 'Urs' of Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti and stop at Delhi on way to Ajmer.
The amenities being provided at these camps include nine camps for stay, six-bed hospital, electricity, public conveniences, drinking water, medicines, ambulances, parking for DTC and Rajasthan Roadways Service buses.
