The incident had occurred on flight i5 1983 from Guwahati to Bengaluru on February 26, AirAsia India said.
It said two passengers, classified as 'unruly and disruptive' by the Captain and cabin crew in their remarks, boarded the flight under the influence of alcohol and created nuisance and disturbance on the flight.
The "alleged passengers" in question, inconsiderate of flying etiquette, caused much disturbance by not only being extremely loud, but were uncouth in their behaviour displayed in causing nuisance to cabin crew as well, it said in a statement here.
Upon landing in Bengaluru and after receiving official feedback from the Captain and cabin crew, police was immediately informed and are currently interrogating the two alleged passengers, it said.
