These areas were not getting water since yesterday morning.
The task of repairing the pipeline and restoring the water supply to the affected areas, which also included Patel Nagar, Old and New Rajender Nagar, Baljeet Nagar, Prem Nagar, Inder Puri and adjoining colonies, was completed in 24 hours, DJB said.
A portion of the pipeline, which emanates from the Chandrawal Water Treatment Plant and supplies water to the central and west Delhi, was damaged near Azad Market here yesterday morning, DJB said in a statement.
"The areas fed directly from the main line got the water supply immediately while the areas which are supplied by the underground reservoirs got the supply in the evening when reservoirs got filled up," DJB said.
