"I am happy with this film as an actor and as a creative person. I am proud of this film. I don't care how much money this film makes at the box office. I would be happy if the film is appreciated, Kangana and my work is appreciated," Imran told reporters here at a promotional event of the upcoming romcom.
"Katti Batti" is directed by Nikhil Advani, starring Kangana Ranaut and Imran Khan, in the lead roles.
"I have been a fan of Kangana. We got offers for various films but things did not work out. The script did not suit either her or me," Imran said.
"It may sound pompous but this is the film that we were waiting for as it is a right film for us. I don't think any other actress could have done the role of Payal the way she did," he said.
The film is slated to release on September 18.
