Pooja, daughter of Bishan Pal of village Nanpur under Garh Mukteshwar police station was married to Yogesh of village Bhood Gadhi which falls under the limits of Mussorie police station two-and-a-half years ago, police said.
Pooja died under mysterious circumstances last night and her in-laws took her body for cremation without informing her parents and pretended her death as natural, they said.
Meanwhile, the deceased's parents got the information and complained to Mussorie police about the incident. Later, police intercepted Pooja's in-laws and doused the pyre, they said, adding that the half-burnt body of the women was recovered and was sent for post mortem.
