"Revival is not possible. They (owners) have no will to run the company. It is a fit case for takeover," Mitra told reporters here after visiting Dunlop's Sahaganj unit in Hooghly district.
He said 12 workers were permitted to enter the closed factory in the name of maintenance and this 'drama' should be stopped.
"Workers have complained that they are not getting their dues. There is a huge backlog and even the PF, gratuity of those who died are not being paid to their families," Mitra said, lamenting that the Ruias did not come to meet them during their visit despite requests.
Mitra said once the Parliamentary committee's report on the rubber industry of India, which would also include Dunlop's case, is ready they will table it in the Parliament for necessary action by the Centre.
