Delhi University Student Union (DUSU) polls were held on last Friday and the results declared on Saturday.
National Students Union of India (NSUI), the student wing of the Congress, has alleged that the election result was rigged. The outfit had also alleged that during voting in some colleges there was problem with the electronic voting machines.
After the outfit members went on hunger strike, the election commission's grievance committee had agreed to show recordings of the counting process with NSUI and also provide machine wise votes secured by each candidate.
"There were also discrepancies found in the machine wise data provided to us as some papers showed the date of counting as September 9 instead of 10 which was the actual day of counting, the date was missing from some papers, and some papers were signed by just one official instead of the requisite number of two officials," it added.
NSUI has won the joint secretary position in DUSU making a come back in the university's union after two years. The other three posts were won by RSS' student wing ABVP.
