Led by the Deputy Commissioner Dr. Amitabh Kaushal, Senior Superintendent of Police Anoop T Mathew and Sub-Divisional Officer (Dalbhum) Alok Kumar, the police team conducted raids in and around the steel city and detained over 180 persons from various police station limited, official sources said.
The detention were made from Sakchi (23), Bistupur (10), Kadma and Sonari (9 each), total 59 from Mango, Azadnagar and Olidih, 25 from Sidgora, and 20 from Golmuri, the sources said adding that they were all released on PR Bond.
Equipped with breath analyser, the traffic police personnel have also launched drive against rash driving and drunk driving, sources added.
The drive will continue for the next few days, sources said.
