BJP ruled EDMC today passed a resolution condemning alleged "anti-national" activities at JNU while lauding the action taken by government in this regard.
The resolution was moved in a meeting of the standing committee of the municipal corporation.
The students, who organised the event on the JNU campus on February 9 and raised anti-India slogans, committed the act of "sedition," it charged.
"Such types of incident took place at JNU earlier also but no action was taken by the government. It is the first time the government has taken action as per the Constitution which is commendable," added the resolution.
