Batala Senior Superintendent of Police Diljinder Singh Dhillon said that these gangsters were responsible for freeing one of their accomplice Atul Khatri from the police custody at Nawan Sehar on February 4.
They were identified as Gurpreet Singh alias Ladi, a resident of Sherkhan village in Ferozepur district, Arjun, a resident of Kapuri gate Batala and Heera, a resident of Kaalia village under sadar police station here.
Two pistols and 15 cartridges were seized from their possession.
He said that a police party of Nawan Sehar district chased the gangsters who were in Sports Utility Vehicle and cordoned them in the city area here.
A case has been registered in this connection by police here.
