The Hyderabad district education department has decided to verify local television news channel reports of an incident where a woman teacher allegedly hit students for not speaking in English during her class, by sending an inspecting officer to the private school at Erragadda.

S R Nagar police station onspector G V Ramana Goud said that the police did not receive any complaint from the parents or anybody else about the alleged incident.
"However, if any complaint is lodged, we will proceed according to the law," he said.
