In the first incident, police apprehended Vasu Jagdish Chavan, Vishram Bhagat Kale, and Viru Sonu Pawar on July 17 from separate places following interrogation of their accomplice Jagananth Kale on July 12, said senior inspector S S Kadam of Kapurbawdi police station.
Police have recovered ten laptops from a car which was allegedly stolen by the accused who would also use a motorcycle to commit the crime.
The gang has allegedly committed many crimes in Thane, Mumbai and Pune.
Police have so far recovered a total of 23 laptops and 13 car tapes from them and have seized a Tavera car and a bike--collectively valued at Rs 12 lakh, Kadam said.
In another incident, police nabbed four suspected jewel-thieves who had allegedly stolen valuables worth Rs 70,000 from a Virar locality on May 7.
DSP (Thane), Rajesh Pradhan said that the accused were arrested from Achole at Nalla Sopara in the district, on the basis of a CCTV footage.
Police also recovered goods worth Rs 61,500 from them.
Police suspect that the accused had committed similar thefts in Manickpur, Virar, Arnala, Vasai and at Surat in Gujarat.
