The clash between students of 3rd and 4th year followed an altercation between them over union election which was held on August 31.
Amir Khan, a 3rd year student, was admitted to the ICU of the Jalpaiguri Sadar Hospital after he was injured in the clash, the sources said.
Principal Jyortimoy Jhampati said today's clash had no political connection as the election in the college was held on apolitical basis.
He said hostels had been closed for seven days and police pickets has been posted in the college.
