Designed with the support of Dutch Embassy in New Delhi, the website - dutchinkerala.Com - was launched by Dutch Ambassador to India, Alphonsus Stoelinga, earlier this week, a statement said.
The portal, originally in Malayalam launguage, has been visited by more than 1.5 lakh online users since its launch three years ago, it said.
Created by Malayinkeezhu Gopalakrishnan, former News Editor of Mathrubhumi Malayalam daily, the website presents major events occurred in Kerala since the arrival of European powers, their tug of war for power and its consequent impact in the history of the world in detail.
A brief note and pictures on Hortus Malabaricus, the botanical account on the state flora which is considered as one of the greatest contributions of the Dutch to the land, is also included in the site.
