Ex-CEO of JMC arrested for alleged graft

Former chief executive officer of Jaipur Municipal Corporation, Lal Chand Aswal, was today arrested by the Anti Corruption Bureau in connection with an alleged scam in the corporation.
According to Smita Shrivastava, IG ACB, on September 10 the bureau had arrested a senior official of the corporation with Rs 15 lakh, allegedly collected from several contractors for favouring them.
During questioning, the official told that he had received the amount from the former CEO. Later, a case was registered against the duo.
