A public bus overturned today in Yemen's central Dhamar province after an apparent brake fault, killing 13 passengers, state media reported.
One passenger who was seated at the back survived when the bus flipped over on a curve in the mountainous Jahran district, Saba state news agency quoted Dhamar traffic police chief Khaled Anam as saying.
Anam said it was likely the bus had a brake problem and that the driver lost control.
Road accidents are a major cause of death in impoverished Yemen.
