Fans gather to see Banana shooting of John

Local police has tough time as people turn up in large numbers at Loyola School at Jamshedpur

The local police had a tough time controlling people, who turned in large number to have a glimpse of a Bollywood actor-turned-producer John Abraham at Loyola school here today.

Abraham was in the steel city for the shooting of his forthcoming film 'Banana', which he claimed that the movie will surprise the audience and make them nostalgic.

'Banana' is a slice-of-life film, which traces the journey from adolescence to teenage.

The shooting of the Abraham's home production movie 'Banana' was began on 28th October last and it was being filmed in the steel city for the first time in Loyola School today.

The shooting of the movie was expected to be completed by 22nd December.

Loyola alumnus Sajid Ali, who is the younger brother of Bollywood hit "Jab we met" fame director Imitiaz Ali, is being launched as director from the home production banner. Abraham was playing the role of an ex-Loyolian, who returned to the city matured and look back on past life.

Earlier, on his arrival at Sonari Aerodrome here on Thursday, Abraham expressed confidence that the people would like the movie just like they did his home production films 'Vicky Donor' and Madras Cafe.

Some students of DBMS English School, Carmel Junior College, J H Tarapore have been selected following an audition and will play a role in the movie.

Besides other, a school assembly scene was filmed in the Loyola school campus today.

Meanwhile, the local police had a tough time controlling large people, who assembled outside the Loyola School gate since morning to have a glimpse of their bollywood heart-throb and continued to stay put till evening.

The turn out was natural as the people wanted to see the celebrity act but no untoward incident happened, said Inspector Officer-in-charge of Bistupur police station A K Yadav.

Yadav appreciated the patience of the film actor, who continuously given autograph to his fans and acknowledged them smiling amidst the shooting.

According to sources, a sequence on the road could not be filmed due to heavy turn out of fans.
