The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has sought access to two accused arrested by Pakistani authorities for their alleged involvement in cybercrimes, a media report said today.
Pakistan's Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) nabbed the accused from Karachi on Saturday.
The two men were wanted by the Interpol and FBI for allegedly defrauding companies and individuals of over USD 50 million, Dawn.Com reported.
Nooruddin Aziz, one of the two arrested, was on the FBI's list of 10 most wanted cyber criminals, the report cited a senior official of the FIA's Cybercrime Wing as saying.
The American agency had announced a whopping USD 50,000 reward on his arrest.
The official identified the other suspect in custody as Farhan Arshad.
The FBI had contacted the FIA investigators and sought access to the two suspects, according to the official.
Pakistan government has not officially commented on the issue.
