FDA official Vineet Kumar said that, after a test of the samples, cases will be lodged against those establishments which are found guilty of selling adulterated products.
With a view to checking the sale of adulterated food items and spurious drugs, FDA teams took samples from 19 establishments here on January 8 and 9.
As and when the report on these samples is received from the laboratory at Agra, FDA will lodge FIRs against the establishments which are found guilty of engaging in adulteration, he said.
The federation will also publish a list of all those shops here which had avoided the inspection by FDA teams by staying shut, an office bearer of the body said, adding that an appeal would be made to the people against purchasing items from such shops.
